An 80-year-old man was arrested early Thursday for his alleged involvement in a fatal Chandler hit-and-run after help from the public, according to authorities.
Milo Beck was arrested on charges related to hitting and killing 55-year-old Alfred Canner with his vehicle on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near Chandler Boulevard and Price Road, according to the Chandler Police Department.
Canner was pronounced dead by first responders when they arrived at the scene around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Officers believe the collision happened when Canner was walking outside of a crosswalk.
Officers located Beck, who had left the scene, after several on-site witnesses described the vehicle’s make and model and one witness provided video footage of the car.
