Investigation into Halloween party shooting in Scottsdale continues

PHOENIX – Authorities are asking the public for help with their investigation into a Halloween party shooting in Scottsdale over the weekend.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the Windgate Ranch gated community near Thompson Peak Parkway and Bell Road, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

While officers were responding to reports of a large party at the residence, dispatchers learned somebody had been shot.

One victim was hospitalized with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, police said.

Anyone with information about the Halloween party shooting is urged to call the Scottsdale Police tip line at 480-312-TIPS (8477).

“As a reminder, sharing information on social media is not the same as reporting it directly to the police,” Officer Aaron Bolin said in a media advisory. “We appreciate any additional information from firsthand witnesses that will help us thoroughly investigate and solve this case.”
