Gunshot victim dies after being dropped off at Phoenix hospital

A gunshot victim died after being dropped off at a northwest Phoenix hospital on over the weekend.

PHOENIX – A gunshot victim died after being dropped off at a northwest Phoenix hospital over the weekend, authorities said.

Salvador Carrillo, 50, was left at a hospital near 27th Avenue and Beardsley Road around 4 p.m. Sunday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Carrillo did not survive his injuries.

Homicide detectives took over the case and are working to determine where and how Carrillo was shot.

No other details about the incident were made available.
