Gov. Katie Hobbs leads delegation to Mexico for trade, diplomacy mission
Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs led a delegation to Mexico City this week as part of a diplomatic and trade mission.

PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs led a delegation to Mexico City this week as part of a diplomatic and trade mission.
The purpose of the trip was to strengthen cross-border relationships and increase trade and investment opportunities between the Grand Canyon state and Mexico, according to a Friday announcement.
The delegation consisted of Arizona business, education and economic development leaders and was organized by the Arizona-Mexico Commission (AMC) and the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA).
“Mexico is a critical partner in Arizona’s success and I’m committed to building on that partnership to grow Arizona’s economy and keep our communities safe,” Hobbs said in the announcement. “During the delegation, we had important conversations around supply chain strength in an uncertain trade environment, the future of our region’s water security and how to stem the flow of illegal drugs and human trafficking across the border. I look forward to continuing to work together to ensure Arizona’s prosperity and security.”
What did Gov. Katie Hobbs mission to Mexico consist of?
Hobbs and the delegation visited Mexico for two days and met with officials, organization and institutions.
The meetings were meant to not only promote a shared vision of economic resilience, but also regional competitiveness.
“These high-level meetings also resulted in access to real-time market data for potential strategic investments by Arizona companies in the $1.85 trillion-dollar Mexican economy,” President of AMC Todd Sander said in the announcement. “The expected results of this week’s trade mission are additional direct foreign investment in Arizona, growth opportunities for Arizona based companies and an even stronger relationship with our number one trade partner, Mexico.”
In addition, Hobbs met with Mexico’s Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Juan Ramón de la Fuente and discussed collaboration in the areas of trade, infrastructure, technology and workforce development.
There were also sessions between the delegation and manufacturing, financial, technology and aerospace business organizations as well as leaders from top Mexican universities.
“Engaging with key federal, state and local Mexican leaders solidified for me the important role our academic institutions play in creating a workforce ready to compete on the global stage,” Chancellor of Maricopa Community College District Steven Gonzales. “Given our intertwined economies, cultures and proximity to one another, Arizona stands to benefit immensely from strengthening our existing partnerships while also cultivating new collaborative opportunities in high education and business and industry.”

Fact the Liberals and greenies won't tell you. Arizona uses the same amount of water that the state consumed in 1959!! FACT...Reason..Agriculture uses a sheeet load of water compared to housing. So all our "over sub-urbanization" is actually saving water. Maybe not great for winter veggies, but a water savings. Im not debating the entire merits of overpopulation, only the water shortage BS here in the valley.

She should be working with them on us building a water desalination plant down in the Gulf of California to help supply us and surrounding areas with water.
Not only water but power, we need more power especially with the incredible AI data center growth. She should be working on building a second nuclear power plant to give us adequate power well into the future.
If she was a true leader she would be doing these things, she is not a leader but a follower and lacks any real vision.
Good to see a politician working to improve relations and commerce with a foreign country, minus childish threats.
