Police ask public for help in identifying persons of interest in deadly Glendale restaurant shooting

PHOENIX — The Glendale Police Department is asking the public to help track down three persons of interest related to the fatal restaurant shooting that took place on Sunday.

The shooting took place outside El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse at 6729 N. 57th Drive, near Glendale and Grand avenues, around 7:45 p.m.

Police released photos of the three persons of interest on Wednesday, a day after launching an online portal asking the public to send photos and videos related to the shooting.

Now police need the public’s help identifying three people in the newly released photos.

The trio is believed to have vital information related to the shooting that left three people dead and five others injured on Sunday night.

“Earlier today, we met with the case agent and homicide supervisors, they have asked us to share the following images of three individuals, investigators wish to speak with,” Glendale police spokesperson Moroni Mendez said in a Wednesday news release.

“To be clear, these individuals are persons of interest, not suspects, and we believe they may have vital information important to this case.”

Police said the incident started when a group of people got into a fight at another event. Police said there was more than one shooter, but no arrests have been made.

The suspects involved in the shooting allegedly knew one another, police said.

Investigators have been actively working the case.
