PHOENIX — The Arizona Cardinals are coming off one of their worst seasons in franchise history, but Glendale is still a good place to be a football fan.

Wallet Hub ranked Glendale as the 12th-best city to be a football fan in 2019 out of more than 240 American cities.

The Phoenix suburb finished ahead of cities like Denver, Atlanta and Los Angeles, whose team, the Rams, is playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The cities were ranked across 21 metrics, including number of NFL and college football teams, average NFL ticket price and fan friendliness.

Glendale performed well in the category of most accessible NFL stadium, ranking No. 3.

Unfortunately, it was dinged pretty harshly because of the Cardinals’ recent failures.

Glendale was tied at No. 26 with Jacksonville for worst-performing NFL team.

Pittsburgh finished as the best city to be a football fan while Boston, Green Bay, Dallas and New York City rounded out the top five.

Other Arizona cities who made the list were Flagstaff (No. 135), Tempe (No. 186) and Tucson (No. 193).
