PHOENIX — If you’re planning on going to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport this weekend, you might run into multiple freeway closures.

Interstate 10 will be closed in two spots near the airport over the weekend, which highlights a busy couple of days of construction in the Valley.

What freeway closures will be near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport?

The more expansive disruption will be on westbound I-10, which will be closed from State Route 143 to the Interstate 17 Split interchange from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for a traffic shift as part of the Broadway Curve Improvement Project.

The westbound I-10 on-ramps at Baseline and Broadway roads, as well as the westbound U.S. 60 on-ramp at Mill Avenue, will be closed during that time.

The other closure near the airport is also on westbound I-10. The freeway will be closed from I-17 to Seventh Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday for scheduled tunnel maintenance.

Also, eastbound I-10 will be closed from I-17 to State Route 51 from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Saturday for tunnel maintenance.

What are the other Valley weekend freeway restrictions?

In the East Valley, the westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed from Gilbert Road to Arizona Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.

The westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Santan Village Parkway, Val Vista Drive and Lindsay Road will be closed.

Also, eastbound U.S. 60 will be narrowed to three lanes from Gilbert Road to the Loop 202 SuperRedTan interchange in Mesa for pavement maintenance.

The eastbound U.S. 60 ramps from Gilbert to Sossaman roads, as well as the eastbound U.S. 60 ramp to northbound Loop 202, will be closed.

Finally, southbound I-17 will be closed at Loop 303 and narrowed to one lane from Loop 303 and Jomax Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvements.

The southbound I-17 on-ramps at SR 74/Carefree Highway and Dove Valley Road will be closed at times.
