PHOENIX – An investigation is underway after a fatal shooting involving law enforcement in Phoenix on Thursday morning, authorities said.
One person was killed in the shooting near 23rd Avenue and Beardsley Road, according to the Glendale Police Department.
No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident, which occurred around 10:20 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency is in charge of the investigation.
The crime scene — which is located in a neighborhood just southeast of the Interstate 17-Loop 101 interchange — is secure and no suspects are at large, police said.
