1 woman killed in head-on collision in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A woman has died following a two-vehicle collision in Phoenix on Sunday night, authorities said.

Around 8 p.m., police were called to a crash involving two vehicles near 43rd and Sweetwater avenues, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

They found two cars, one with two doors and one with four. They brought both drivers as well as two children to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle with four doors, 34-year-old Hayley Kramer, died at the hospital, police said.

The other driver as well as the two children are expected to survive.

Before the crash, Kramer was driving southbound on 43rd Avenue while the other driver drove northbound on 43rd Avenue. Detectives believe the crash took place when the driver of the two-door vehicle veered into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with Kramer’s vehicle.

Police don’t believe impairment was a factor in this collision.
