Frutilandia’s Mesa location at Baseline and Alma School roads, originally scheduled to open Thursday, will make its debut early next week, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. It will be the second location to offer drive-thru service.

The menu consists of Latin and Mexican drinks and foods ranging from $2.99- $12.99.

Options range from tropical frozen drinks, raspados, and agua frescas to carne asada fries, ceviche tostadas and specialty desserts like fresas con crema (strawberries and cream).

There are six Frutilandia’s across the Valley, including locations in Phoenix, Queen Creek and Tolleson.

The company revitalizes abandoned buildings, transforming them into stores others can potentially someday operate.
