A woman is dead after she was hit by a car while riding an electric scooter in south Phoenix on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A woman is dead after she was hit by a car while riding an electric scooter in south Phoenix on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Officers were called to the area of Seventh Avenue and Broadway Road around 9:30 a.m. for the pedestrian crash, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman in critical condition. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the woman’s identity. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
Preliminary information from police suggests the woman was unable to control the speed of her electric scooter and collided with the vehicle as it turned into a private drive.
The investigation into the fatal south Phoenix collision is ongoing.

This implies that the driver turned in front of someone going straight. In my driver's education, it was the responsibility of the person turning to yield to oncoming traffic.
The police don't even follow the rules; they always side with the driver.
