PHOENIX — Officers with the El Mirage and Glendale police departments arrested three people and seized more than 2,000 fentanyl pills on Thursday, authorities said.
EMPD said in a post to social media that a search warrant was served at a home near Calavar Road and 126th Lane on Thursday morning.
The warrant was executed by El Mirage’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team, patrol officers, K9 units and Glendale SWAT.
Three people were arrested and more than 2,000 fentanyl pills were seized during the operation, according to EMPD.
In addition, there were reportedly 20 pieces of drug paraphernalia found in the residence.
Police also noted that this was not the first time the department had served warrants at that home this year.
What happened when El Mirage previously served warrants at the home?
In March, El Mirage officers, U.S. Secret Service agents, Surprise Police Department’s Neighborhood Response Unit and Glendale SWAT served a warrant at the house.
During that operation, there were reportedly seven suspects located in the home who were arrested on felony charges.
According to EMPD, there were also a number of items seized including a stolen rifle, a second rifle, 474 M-30 pills of fentanyl pills, 20 grams of methamphetamine and $800 in U.S. currency.
Police said that the execution of the warrant was part of a two-day investigation.
On the first day, police reportedly conducted traffic stops on two vehicles after observing them leave the home.
According to EMPD, from the traffic stops officers found 300 M-30 pills of fentanyl pills, several grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl powder and $11,760 in counterfeit U.S. currency.
Five people were arrested based on the traffic stops, police said.

How sad is your life where you tie absolutely everything to one man... what is that like living with that torture? Are you married? .. or have kids or friends? How do they put up with your depressing obsession? Seriously though, are you on meds? You must be coping somehow to offset the torture. Keep up the fight and hang in there.
