Man accused of shooting girlfriend, 2 others in Phoenix domestic violence case

PHOENIX – A man has been formally charged for allegedly shooting his girlfriend and two of her relatives last month in a Phoenix domestic violence case, authorities announced Wednesday.

A grand jury handed down five-count indictment against 31-year-old Daniel Cornell Hall on Sept. 22, a week after the shooting, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Hall allegedly shot his girlfriend, her brother and her cousin at an apartment complex near 48th Street and McDowell Road on Sept. 13.

The shooting victims all survived.

What did domestic violence shooting suspect allegedly do?

Hall showed up at his girlfriend’s apartment after allegedly assaulting her and got into an argument with her cousin, prosecutors said.

The shooting occurred when the girlfriend was calling police.

The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested.

He faces two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of aggravated assault/domestic violence, unlawful discharge of a firearm and assault/domestic violence. All but the final charge are felonies.

Hall’s bond was set at $250,000, and his trial was scheduled to begin in January 2026.
