Detectives ask for help locating a suspect who allegedly shot, killed 2 men in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix detectives are asking for the public’s help finding a suspect that allegedly shot and killed two adult men in west Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the area of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road just prior to 3 p.m. and found both men with gunshot wounds.

The man identified as Mario Martinez, 36, died from his injuries at the scene and Luis Mendez-Armenta, 33, died after not recovering from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts and identity is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish speakers.

Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a maximum $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
