1 man dead, another injured following apartment complex shooting in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man is dead and another man is injured following a shooting in west Phoenix on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road around 3 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

When they arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds. Phoenix Fire responded and provided aid to both men.

One man died from his injuries at the scene.

The second was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening injury.

An investigation underway.
