1 person detained after 5-vehicle collision on US 60/Grand in Glendale

One person who tried to run away after a five-vehicle collision in Glendale on Thursday morning was detained, authorities said.

The pile-up occurred on southbound US 60/Grand Avenue north of Bethany Home Road around 5 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.

After the crash, four people ran from one of the vehicles, and one of them was detained, police said.

Any road restrictions related to the incident were lifted by 7:30 a.m.
