An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a shooting in Glendale early Thursday, authorities said.

PHOENIX – An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a shooting in Glendale early Thursday, authorities said.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and 911 calls in a residential area near 62nd and Maryland avenues about 3:45 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.
Callers reported hearing between six and 14 shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
The men were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The neighborhood was restricted to local traffic with police escorts while investigators worked to determine what led up to the shooting.
