Charlie Kirk statue vandalized at Turning Point headquarters in Phoenix

A statue to honor Charlie Kirk at Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix was vandalized overnight Sunday.

“Vandalism like this is not funny, it’s diabolical,” TPUSA wrote in a social media post. “Beyond spray painting on the neck and face, they made the intentional decision to cross out the name of Jesus on a nearby sign.”

We will restore the statue and replace the signs, but we are also reviewing the footage of the incident and are working with law enforcement to identify who did this and hold them accountable.

The statue was unveiled on Thursday, the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s death. TPUSA added that the statue will be restored and the signs will be replaced.

Tyler Bowyer, chief operating officer at Turning Point Action, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the paint emulated blood on Kirk, who was killed by a gunman at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025.

“The police were on site early this morning investigating the space,” Bowyer said. “There is video evidence of the individuals that were coming onto the property and doing this. We have neighbors, good neighbors, too, that are sharing video footage and surveillance. … God bless the police. We know that they’ll go out and get the bad guys.”

The Phoenix Police Department confirmed its involvement in the investigation after receiving reports of vandalism near 49th Street and Baseline Road around 8 a.m. Sunday.
