Banner Health, MedData, IHMS to help uninsured get health care coverage

PHOENIX – Banner Health is teaming up with MedData and Integrated Health Management Services (IHMS) to help uninsured people across Arizona get health care coverage.
According to a recent press release, the partnership will benefit patients in the six states Banner serves, including its 17 Arizona locations in an attempt to sway costly medical bills for the uninsured.
IHMS will assist uninsured patients connect with health care opportunities at Banner Health facilities.
IHMS Enrollment Specialists will also inform patients about other benefits available to them or their families.
MedData will be assisting Arizona patients only and will connect them with health care opportunities across hundreds of programs, the release said.
“Our mission at Banner Health is making healthcare easier, so life can be better,” Lonny Aldinger, Western Region patient financial services director at Banner Health, said in the release.
“We want all our patients to feel that they are not only getting the best medical treatment they need and deserve but have the peace of mind that they are also receiving the best medical coverage. By teaming with IHMS and MedData, we’re committed to helping our uninsured patient population find solutions and resources that best meet their medical and financial needs.”
The Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is located at McDowell Road and 12th Street.
Other facilities are located around the Valley and in Tucson, Casa Grande, Page and Payson.
