Arizona bank robber sentenced to 13 years in prison

PHOENIX – An Arizona bank robber has been sentenced to 13 years in prison, authorities announced Tuesday.

Michael Dino Peraino, 64, of Willcox previously pleaded guilty to bank robbery, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

In addition to the prison time, Peraino was ordered to undergo three years of supervised release during a Feb. 9 sentencing hearing.

Peraino was arrested after a July 10, 2025, bank robbery in Safford.

Prosecutors said he walked into a Chase Bank location and gave the teller a note that demanded $10,000 in cash. He also said he had a gun while motioning toward his waistband.

No other details about the crime were released.

The FBI and Safford Police Department conducted the investigation into the case, which was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tucson.
