Arizona man sentenced to 28 years for shooting girlfriend, who later died, in front of her kids

An Arizona man was sentenced last month to 28 years after shooting his former girlfriend in front of her children in February 2024, leaving her with injuries she died from almost a year later.

An Arizona man was sentenced last month to 28 years after shooting his former girlfriend in front of her children in February 2024, leaving her with injuries she died from almost a year later.

Andre Anthony Miller, of Parker, Arizona, previously pleaded guilty and his time in prison will be followed by five years of supervised released, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

On February 18, 2024, the 33-year-old shot his former girlfriend in front of her minor children on the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) Reservation, which he was also a member of, located in La Paz County outside of Lake Havasu City.

The shooting left her a quadriplegic and with life-threatening injuries that she died from 11 month later.

The case was investigated by the CRIT Police Department and FBI’s Phoenix Division.
