Avondale PD arrests man who allegedly sexually assaulted minor

PHOENIX — The Avondale Police Department on Thursday arrested a 31-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting a minor at a park last week.
Juan Carlos Granados was charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor and booked into the Maricopa County Jail.
According to police, Granados approached the juvenile victim at around 2:30 p.m. on April 17 while walking in the area of Donnie Hale Park near 108th Avenue and Pima Street.
Granados then committed a sexual act against the victim and left the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, either 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-8, “chubby,” with short brown hair and a receding hair line.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
