Artists kick off performances at Birds Nest at Phoenix Open Wednesday

PHOENIX — Golf isn’t the only thing that the Waste Management Phoenix Open brings to Scottsdale.

The Coors Light Birds Nest concert series kicks off Wednesday and continues through Saturday, bringing some of music’s biggest acts to a tent erected in north Scottsdale.

Country artists are set to dominate the four-day event, with Old Dominion, Midland and Brandon Lay performing on Wednesday and Jake Owen, Lee Brice and Michael Ray taking the stage Thursday.

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg and Grammy-winning pop/dance duo the Chainsmokers will perform in front of a sold-out crowd Friday, before Martin Garrix, DJ Vice and Justin Mylo wrap up with DJ sets on Saturday.

While the weeklong tournament at TPC Scottsdale is all ages, attendees must be 21 or older to enter the concert venue.

Ticket prices for the shows vary from $65 for general admission to $250 for a VIP experience, but you might want to buy fast: Thursday and Friday are already sold out.

Anyone who snags a ticket and wants to get the best seat to see their favorite artist should be in line by 3:30 p.m., the time the gates open, ahead of the estimated 8:30 p.m. headlining act.

“I encourage anyone to make it over to Birds Nest,” tournament chairman Chance Cozby told KTAR News 92.3 FM. “Birds Nest is going to be a ton of fun.”
