PHOENIX — An Arizona man was sentenced last week to 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of children, authorities said.

Ralph Yellow, 78, of Tuba City, admitted that he engaged in sexual contact with a six-year-old child in 2012 or 2013, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona said in a press release on Tuesday.

Evidence also showed Yellow engaged in sexual acts with other children for decades, authorities said, and that the abuses took place on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation where Yellow is an enrolled tribal member.
