3 Arizona Lottery tickets worth $50K drawn across Valley over the weekend

PHOENIX — Three lucky Arizona Lottery players had tickets worth $50,000 drawn between two different games over the weekend.

One ticket played for Mega Millions and two played for Powerball on Friday yielded the big paydays.

The Mega Millions ticket was drawn from retailer Winners Corner in Tempe at 524 W. Broadway Road. The Powerball tickets were both drawn from Fry’s Food Stores, one in Avondale at 10675 W. Indian School Road and the other in Gilbert at 4075 E. Williams Field Road.

The five winning numbers for Mega Millions were 17, 18, 21, 42 and 64 with a Mega Ball of 7.

The five winning numbers for Powerball on Saturday were 28, 37, 42, 50 and 53 with a Powerball number of 19.

As with every Arizona Lottery drawing game, winners have up to 180 days to cash out their ticket.

Mega Millions costs $5 per game, and Arizona Lottery estimated the next jackpot of $400 million will occur on Tuesday.

The odds of winning a $50,000 prize are 1 in 893,761 while a jackpot is 1 in 290,472,336.

Powerball tickets are $2, and the next estimated drawing for a $64 million jackpot is Monday.

The odds of winning a $50,000 prize are 1 in 11,688,054 and a jackpot is slightly higher than Mega Millions at 1 in 292,201,338.

Mega Millions drawings are on every Tuesday and Friday while Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening.
