Arizona car insurance rates among highest in US

While Arizona drivers are getting relief at the pump, the cost of car insurance is still taking a bite out of our budgets.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, Arizona ranks 14th in the nation for car insurance prices, meaning Arizonans spend more than three percent of their income on car insurance.

With those figures, the average household needs to budget about $1,700 dollars a year.

Michigan drivers pay the highest rate in the nation, at nearly $4,5 per year. North Carolina came in the cheapest at just $860.
