2 hospitalized after small plane crashes into northern Arizona home

PHOENIX — Two people were injured when a small aircraft crashed into a residence in northern Arizona on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place near the 5000 block of Taxi Way, which is south of Sun Valley Airport in Bullhead City, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. This is right on the border with Nevada.

Deputies who responded to the residence shortly after 11:30 a.m. found the aircraft had crashed through a wall of the home’s garage.

No one inside the home was injured, but the two people who were in the aircraft were hospitalized.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating this incident.

Less than 24 hours later, a small plane landed on its roof in north Phoenix, but the occupants emerged without serious injuries.
