The names that receive the most votes will be placed on the side of the four snowplow cabs, joining the ones named during past contests.

Some of the names that have previously won include Snowbi-Wan Kenobi, Fast and Flurryous, Scoopacabra, Alice Scooper, Frost Responder and Sleetwood Mac.

ADOT has around 200 snowplows and 400 operators working to keep roads clear during winter storms.

The traffic authority advised motorists to slow down behind snowplows, leave at least four car-lengths of room and never attempt to pass them.
