2-year-old boy dies after being pulled from pool at Phoenix home
Firefighters responded to a home in the area of 67th Avenue and Baseline Road around 9:45 p.m. and found the boy unconscious and not breathing.

A 2-year-old boy died Saturday night after he was pulled from a backyard pool in Phoenix, authorities said.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, firefighters responded to a home in the area of 67th Avenue and Baseline Road around 9:45 p.m. following reports of a drowning.
Upon arrival, firefighters located the unconscious boy, who had been pulled from the pool and was not breathing. Family members said the boy had been underwater for an unknown period of time.
Firefighters performed life-saving efforts before taking the boy to a hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.
Preliminary information indicated there was no pool fence at the home, according to authorities.
