2026 Arizona Gives Day generates more than $3.7M, down from last year

PHOENIX — Community members donated more than $3.7 million to nonprofits during the 2026 Arizona Gives Day.

A total of 16,392 donations were made to the 729 nonprofits participating in the event, which is presented by AZ Impact for Good.

The total was lower than the $4.3 million raised last year, continuing a downward trend from the roughly $5.3 million raised in each of the two previous years.

However, organizers were happy with the results as charitable giving has recently had a downward trend nationwide compared to inflation.

“This is an important boost for Arizona nonprofits and a sign of the generosity of Arizona residents during uneven economic times,” Michael Morefield, director of marketing and communications for AZ Impact for Good, said in a news release. “Despite declines in charitable giving nationwide, this year’s event will have real impact for Arizona residents.”

There were also 191 volunteers who committed 4,216 hours to their chosen nonprofit during the event.

Since the annual campaign started in 2013, it has raised a total of $55 million for nonprofits.

Donations can be made year-round to Arizona Gives Day at azgives.org, and contributions are tax-deductible. Some contributions can also count toward the Qualifying Charitable Organization, Qualified Foster Care Charitable Organization or Public School state tax credits.
