2 people injured in fiery crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — Two people were seriously injured on Thursday night as part of a two-vehicle accident in north Phoenix.

Police and firefighters responded to the collision near the intersection of 44th Street and Deer Valley Road just after 6 p.m.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, one of the vehicles had overturned and was on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, and provided immediate medical care to the victims.

An adult male and a juvenile male were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The juvenile suffered critical life-threatening injuries. The adult had serious injuries that are non-life-threatening.  

A third adult suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for further evaluation.

No other details were immediately released.
