2 men accused of illegal campaign contributions by corporation in Arizona

PHOENIX — Attorney General Mark Brnovich on Thursday announced the indictments of two people accused of illegal campaign contributions by a corporation in Arizona.

William Lenhart, 57, of Las Vegas, and Justin Chambers, 40, of Cornville, are accused of directing funds from corporations to candidates for the mayor in the city of Kingman in 2016, according to a press release.

They each face a felony charge of unlawful campaign contribution by a corporation.

A September 2021 indictment accuses Lenhart of moving $2,000 from a company named SDIP VB LLC to the Richard Anderson for Mayor campaign in 2016.

Chambers is accused to have moved $2,500 from Chambers Realty Group LLC to the Committee to Elect Jen Miles in 2018.

The alleged offenses are punishable by a fine of up to $150,000 and a possible sentence of up to two years in prison.

The Mohave County Attorney’s Office investigated the case, the release said.
