2 kids hospitalized after Phoenix crash

PHOENIX — A child is in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash in north Phoenix, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded around 5:15 p.m. to a crash near 27th Avenue and Dove Valley Road and found three people injured. One person had to be removed from the wreck, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

A boy was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A girl and an adult man were also transported, both in stable condition, Capt. Mike Johnson, a department spokesman, said.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating.
