2 dead after believed murder-suicide shooting in Glendale

PHOENIX — Two people are dead after police believe there was a murder-suicide shooting on Thursday afternoon in Glendale, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call just before 2 p.m. near 56th and Missouri Avenues from a “frantic” woman who reported her sister and her sister’s significant other had been shot, according to the Glendale Police Department.

The officers found both individuals, later identified as 33-year-old Ana Karen Osorio and 36-year-old Albaro Rodriguez, deceased when they arrived. Their relationship at the time of the shooting was unknown.

The scene was turned over to homicide detectives, who believe it was a murder-suicide situation.

Authorities advise those in the area to expect a heavy police presence for several hours as the detectives investigate.

No other homes, vehicles or properties appeared to be hit by the gunfire, and there are no outstanding subjects, police said.
