Worker dies from shooting at construction site near State Farm Stadium

PHOENIX – The man injured in a construction site shooting has died, according to Glendale Police.
Police are investigating after a shooting incident at a construction site near State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Thursday.
An unnamed worker shot and killed Timothy Ted McFarlin, 47, during a fight near 91st Avenue and Cardinals Way, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The shooter called police afterward and said he fired in self-defense. He was detained and taken in for questioning.
Police announced McFarlin died Friday.
The incident occurred just hours before the start of the official Arizona Cardinals’ NFL Draft Party on the Great Lawn outside State Farm Stadium.
The stadium property is just across Cardinals Way from the site of the shooting.
However, the investigation was confined to the construction site and had no impact on traffic in the area.
