A 1-year-old boy died a week after being pulled out of an apartment complex pool in Tempe, according to the city's police department.

PHOENIX — A 1-year-old boy died a week after being pulled out of an apartment complex pool in Tempe, authorities announced Tuesday.
Officers and firefighters were called to an apartment complex near Baseline and Rural roads in Tempe on Aug. 24 after the child was found in the complex’s pool, according to the Tempe Police Department.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors were able to restart his heart and stabilize him.
However, he died over Labor Day weekend, according to Tempe police.
No other details were released.
