One person was hospitalized after a house fire in west Phoenix that also left five people displaced on Monday evening, authorities said.

One person was hospitalized after a house fire in west Phoenix that also left five people displaced on Monday evening, authorities said.
Crews were called to a residence in the area of 75th Avenue and Broadway Road for the blaze around 5:45 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, there was smoke and fire coming from the house. They immediately began extinguishing efforts while searching the house for any occupants.
However, all residents had exited the house before crews arrived.
One person was treated at the scene for burns before being taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, fire officials said. They noted that a neighbor was also evaluated but refused transport.
Over the weekend, six people were left in critical condition after a first alarm Phoenix house fire.
