1 dead, 4 injured after multi-vehicle car crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX — One person was killed and four other people have suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle car crash early Sunday morning, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

On Sunday, the Phoenix Fire Department received a call of a car crash involving five people near I-17 & Pinnacle Peak Road.

When firefighters arrived, one adult man was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 34-year-old woman is in stable condition and was taken to a local trauma facility.

Two men and one woman were transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Authorities say one car crashed into a wall causing the multi-vehicle collision on the freeway.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the crash.
