Thirsty Lion looking to hire 120 in Phoenix before December opening

PHOENIX — A new Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill location in north Phoenix is looking to fill 120 positions by its opening next month.

The restaurant at Desert Ridge Marketplace near Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard will begin hiring Friday for positions including servers, hosts, cooks and bartenders.

“We are looking for ambitious and driven individuals ready to join a collaborative team,” owner John Plew said in a press release.

The 6,500-square-foot pub will have a dining room capacity of 200 and a patio for 140 people with a fire pit.

Another new Thirsty Lion is also in the works.

A location at Chandler Viridian near the Loop 101 Price Freeway and Loop 202 Santan Freeway will open in February, with hiring beginning in January.

The restaurant has locations in Tempe, Gilbert and Scottsdale, as well as in Colorado, Oregon and Texas.
