Spectrum takes over Cox in Phoenix, promises a free year of mobile

More than 5 million former Cox customers woke up to a new internet provider as Spectrum officially took over Cox’s operations in Phoenix and dozens of other markets nationwide.

For Phoenix customers, Spectrum is offering a free year of Spectrum Mobile for eligible customers and a $1,000 savings guarantee for those who bundle internet with two mobile lines.

Former Cox customers won’t see a change in their bill. Spectrum claims these new customers can keep their current pricing for now, the company said in a news release.

The company now reaches more than 70 million homes and businesses across 45 states.
