Scottsdale’s Lucky Rose Boutique invites shoppers to grand opening

PHOENIX — Lucky Rose Boutique, a recently opened business in Scottsdale, is inviting Arizonans to its grand opening celebration next week.

The festivities at the store, which is located near Marshall Way and Fifth Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, are scheduled for Saturday, March 28, starting at 10 a.m. and going until close.

The first 50 customers at the celebration will receive a special surprise, according to the boutique’s social media.

In addition, the event will have giveaways, bubbles, bites and more. Attendees will also be able to shop Lucky Rose’s hat bar, charm bar and permanent jewelry bar.

Lucky Rose was created by Scottsdale residents Kenny and Julia Goldman. Julia is following in her father’s footsteps, as he owns a clothing chain in the Midwest.

The boutique itself is 1,800 square feet and was fully gutted and rebuilt to transform the building into a light, soft and feminine environment for shoppers. It was designed by KatzDesignGroup (KDG) to combine high-quality retail with the playful, fast-moving products the store sells.

One of the standout features of the business is a soft desert cactus neon art piece that was created to give shoppers the perfect picture for Instagram.

“This is a really special story of second-generation entrepreneurship,” KDG principal Beth Katz said in a press release. “Julia grew up in the clothing business, and it shows. We looked at several locations in Old Town, but loved this space that faces the Fifth Avenue fountain. … I’m looking forward to seeing this roll out for more to enjoy.”

The Goldmans were able to test the concept for Lucky Rose with multiple pop-up stores before committing to the Old Town Scottsdale location.

The boutique’s interior signage was done by Leno Marin-Muzo Art Foundry while the exterior mural was completed by Tim Brennan from Great Not Good Co. Meanwhile, Carol Schillne of the Schillne Retail Team at Orion Investment Real Estate helped the Goldmans secure the location.
