Construction begins on warehouse project in Glendale industrial corridor

PHOENIX – Ground has officially been broken on a major new industrial project in the West Valley that city leaders say will help meet growing demand for logistics space.

BPR Companies announced the start of construction on EQT Real Estate Commerce 303, a nearly 500,000-square-foot speculative warehouse in Glendale’s expanding industrial corridor.

The project is being built on a 70-acre site near Camelback Road and Sarival Avenue. Developers say the location was chosen for its access to key transportation routes and its proximity to growing distribution activity in the West Valley.

Once completed, Commerce 303 will total 497,234 square feet and feature modern design elements aimed at attracting logistics and distribution tenants. Plans include 40-foot clear heights, tilt up concrete construction and a hybrid panelized roof system. The building is designed to offer flexibility for a range of industrial users.

Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers said the project reflects continued growth in the city.

“Glendale continues to grow as companies see more opportunities in our city,” Weiers said in a release. “Projects like this help meet growing demand for modern logistics and distribution space in our region, while keeping our city moving forward and attractive to companies looking to relocate their business.”

The West Valley has seen a surge in industrial development in recent years, driven by infrastructure, access to major freeways and increased demand for distribution space.

BJ Copeland, CEO of BPR Companies, said the project is part of a broader effort to support that growth.

“We are excited to bring Commerce 303 to the West Valley and contribute to the region’s ongoing economic expansion,” Copeland said. “This project reflects our dedication to delivering best in class industrial facilities that serve the needs of today’s market.”

Construction is now underway. A timeline for completion has not yet been announced.
