Chandler Fashion Center announces plan to redevelop dining and entertainment district

PHOENIX — Chandler Fashion Center is approaching its 25th anniversary in 2026 and is ringing that in by announcing new additions to its dining and entertainment lineup, according to a Wednesday press release.

Property developer Macerich will be spearheading the project that is targeting the center’s south side near its Harkins Theatres.

Among the new eateries is Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung, which has a scheduled opening in 2027. Another joint at Scottsdale Fashion Square will open in 2026.

Seafood City, a Filipino first-to-market grocer, is also set to join the revamped shopping destination. Besides offering goods to cook and taste at home, the store will include multiple restaurants with “Pan-Asian savory dishes, bakery treats and popular street foods,” the release said.

Johnny Rockets and its classic American diner grub will also be added to the center’s food court in early 2026.

All other new restaurants will be revealed in early 2026.

More esthetic parts of the coming re-development are a lower-level lawn and event area renovation to make it more friendly to live concerts and other community gatherings and the addition of a splash pad.

Additionally, landscaping will be redone and touched up and guests will be able to enjoy new fire pits, lounge seating and shaded areas.

Kim Choukalas, senior VP of leasing for Macerich, said Chandler Fashion is continuing to “attract a strong mix of retailers.”

“As we continue to attract more of today’s most desired brands, we’re also conscious of a trend among shoppers who enjoy spending a day shopping their favorite stores, then winding down with a memorable meal,” Choukalas said. “This project marries the lines between shopping and dining, creating a wholistic entertainment experience.”

J. Crew Factory will be among the new retailers, as it will come alongside recent add-ons of Scheels, jeweler Gorjana, TravisMatthew and Vuori. There was no estimated completion date for J. Crew Factory at this time.

Chandler Fashion Center currently offers more than 180 retailers.
