Rep. Andy Biggs calls for end to threats, says he’s been targeted during run for governor

Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs on Wednesday called for an end to violent threats against politicians and revealed that he has been targeted during his campaign for governor in Arizona.
“Just last week, I get the threat, ‘We’re going to put a bullet between your eyes, we’re going to Charlie Kirk you,’ those types of things,” Biggs told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Arizona’s Morning News. “Those things have got to stop.”
Biggs spoke days after the FBI was called to investigate suspicious letters and white powder mailed to several Arizona Democrats last week. Biggs’ opponent in the Nov. 3 election, Gov. Katie Hobbs, told KTAR News’ Outspoken with Bruce & Gaydos on Tuesday that she and her family recently received an execution threat.
“It’s crazy, and it’s wrong, and it’s criminal, actually,” Biggs said. “And it’s going both sides, and I think this kind of political intimidation and violence has got to stop. … We’ve made that statement very, very clear. It goes both ways.”
Biggs said the rhetoric in his race has gone “way over” the line of what he considers appropriate.
“You can draw comparisons and contrast between you and your opponent, but some of the stuff that has been said in this race, in my race, has actually crossed the line way, way over in my opinion,” he said.

Again, Biggles seems grasping at his few remaining straws to come off as the victimized martyr to MAGAville and beyond. Expect to see him soon wearing the red hat, accompanied by a palm frond and a crown of thorns.
