A man visiting Arizona from Brazil was killed Friday after falling debris was blown off a rooftop and struck him in the head while he was touring a Scottsdale property.

The man has been identified as Rogerio Renato Mateucci, who was reportedly killed instantly and pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Strong winds were the cause of roofing material being blown off in the Taliesin West community near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. and other people had been with him when the accident occurred. Wind gusts near the area were around 30 mph at the time.

Detectives and crime scene personnel responded to investigate, but no foul play is suspected in what appears to be an entirely weather-related accident. The investigation is ongoing.
