Amish Shah, the Democratic nominee in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, said Tuesday that impeaching President Donald Trump should be on the table if Democrats win control of the House.

During an interview with Peter Alexander on MS NOW’s “The Beat with Ari Melber,” Shah was asked what Democrats should do on Day 1 if they come away from the Nov. 3 midterm elections with a House majority.

“Focus on what the American people are telling them are their daily life experiences. That’s one. We also do have to hold him to account on all of those constitutional violations that we’ve seen over the last two years,” Shah replied.

Shah, who is facing Republican nominee Jay Feely in a race that is key to Democrats’ hopes of winning the House, went on to explain what he meant by constitutional violations.

“I’m talking about Jimmy Kimmel and the First Amendment, I’m talking about all the due process violations from ICE for U.S. citizens. Any one of those things means we have to hold them to account,” Shah said.

Shah, an emergency medicine doctor and former state lawmaker, said accountability should extend into the White House.

“And yes, that’s up to and including impeachment if he himself violates the Constitution,” Shah said.

It will be a huge stain against them if they don’t.

And if not that, at least invoke the 25th amendment and remove Trump from office. The man is obviously unwell in every sense except financially - where he is doing very well while causing the vast majority of citizens to do increasingly not well.
