From food truck to burger bars: Randizzle’s plans 2 Valley restaurants

Randizzle’s, the Valley food truck known for gourmet burgers and tacos, could open its first restaurant in downtown Mesa as soon as October, followed by a Phoenix location later this year.

The brand announced Tuesday on Instagram that it has signed a lease for a burger bar near Main Street and MacDonald Road.

Randizzle’s Burger Bar could open in the former Outcast Doughnuts space in less than three weeks if inspections go as planned.

“The Mesa opportunity came together unexpectedly because we found an existing restaurant space that was already almost completely equipped and could get us open much faster,” according to the post.

The location is currently hiring for kitchen managers, shift leaders, line cooks, prep cooks, cashiers, fry cooks, bartenders, dining room attendants, dishwashers, food runners and expediters.

Phoenix restaurant also in the works

Randizzle’s is also planning a Phoenix location, with an opening targeted for late November or early December, according to the announcement. The address will be 541 W. McDowell Road.

Former Arizona Rattlers star and self-taught chef Randy Gatewood launched the food truck in 2019.

Since then, he has served customers across the Valley and participated in the NFL’s Business Connect program, which connects local businesses with event opportunities, since 2023.

The growth plans aren’t limited to Mesa and Phoenix, however.

“Our vision has always been much bigger than one restaurant,” according to an Instagram announcement. “We plan to grow throughout metro Phoenix, across Arizona, throughout the United States and eventually into Canada.”
