Authorities ask for help finding car involved in fatal hit-and-run in west Phoenix

Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a car that was involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead in west Phoenix early Sunday morning.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect vehicle as a metallic gray 2011-2014 Dodge Charger.

The car hit and killed the pedestrian, who was in the roadway in an unlit area, near 67th Avenue and Broadway Road around 2:12 a.m. before continuing northbound on 67th Avenue from Lower Buckeye Road.

The car is expected to be missing its front driver side mirror, have damage to the driver side bumper near the wheel well and a shattered front driver side headlight, according to MCSO.

Authorities also noted there could be possible damage to the hood of the car and its driver side front fender. Additionally, the driver side “A” pillar or windshield near the “A” pillar could be damaged.
