Body recovered from lake in Mesa’s Dobson Ranch community

A body was recovered from a lake in Mesa’s Dobson Ranch community on Saturday, authorities said.

A search began after a caller reported seeing a man yelling in a community lake near Dobson Road and Isabella Avenue around 7 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The man went under the water and did not resurface, the caller said.

The rescue effort became a recovery operation when Mesa Fire and Medical Department search crews found a deceased person in the water.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
