2 suspects arrested in connection with fatal Tempe apartment complex shooting

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Tempe apartment complex over the weekend that left a man dead, authorities said.

The Tempe Police Department identified the man who was killed as 24-year-old Tyrone Rios Jr.

Authorities did not identify the suspects who were taken into custody as the investigation is ongoing, but said their names would be released at a later time.

On Saturday, officers were called to the area of Center Parkway and Washington Street for reports of gunshots around 2 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Rios Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

It is not clear what led to the fatal incident.
